LDPE Pipe

AGRICAMP LDPE pipes, made from reclaimed low-density polyethylene, are ideal for agricultural and irrigation applications. They are notable for their flexibility, chemical resistance, and ability to adapt to the terrain, facilitating installation on uneven ground. Their high resistance to acids, alkalis, and chemicals makes them perfect for transporting corrosive liquids. Furthermore, they are lightweight, easy to transport and install, and highly resistant to water hammer. These pipes are also used in gardening, landscaping, and industrial projects, and are environmentally friendly due to the use of recycled materials.

LDPE AGRICAMP pipes are made from recycled low-density polyethylene. We choose to use scrap from our own factory and recovered material, reinforcing our commitment to environmental protection. They are an excellent solution for various applications, especially in areas such as agriculture and irrigation systems. In addition, we produce pipes with virgin materials under our VICAMP range. Polyethylene is a polymer composed of ethylene units that, depending on the polymerization process used, are organized into chains of varying lengths and different degrees of entanglement. This variability in length and entanglement determines the properties of the material. When the chains cool, they may form ordered (crystalline) structures or remain in a disordered state, known as “amorphism”. The ratio between these structures influences the density of the polyethylene. In the case of LDPE, the result is a low-density material that stands out for its flexibility and softness compared to other polyethylenes. This feature allows it to better adapt to terrain irregularities, making it easier to bend.

We recommend these pipes for agriculture and irrigation installations. They have high resistance to both acids and alkalis, as well as chemical products, making them very suitable for these sectors. They feature low wave celerity, essential for this type of installation. High-density pipes are often used as the main conduits of the irrigation system. From these conduits, secondary pipes branch out, usually made of lower density pipes that pass through the cultivated fields and better adapt to the terrain’s topography. The low-density polyethylene pipe, also known as LDPE, is the supply pipe that transports water through an irrigation system from the water source to the sprinkler or as a feeder pipe delivering to the emitters or the drip line.

Low-density pipes are highly flexible. Their ability to bend allows installations with greater sinuosity, which makes installation easier even on difficult terrain. This flexibility also makes them less prone to crushing damage, as they can withstand deformation without collapsing. LDPE pipes have greater resistance to water hammer compared to rigid material pipes. This reduces the risk of damage to installations and extends the system’s lifespan. The low weight of LDPE pipes makes them easier to transport and handle, reducing logistical costs and simplifying installation. This characteristic is especially useful in large-scale projects or hard-to-reach areas. LDPE pipes are known for their high resistance to acids, alkalis, and chemicals. Their ability to adapt to the terrain and resist harsh conditions makes them ideal for use in agriculture and other industries where transported fluids may contain corrosive substances. Additionally, their freeze resistance prevents breakage when the water inside freezes, thanks to their capacity to withstand the expansion of frozen liquid.

AGRICAMP pipes are an excellent option for landscaping and gardening projects. LDPE pipes are perfect for irrigation system installations that integrate harmoniously with landscape design. Furthermore, another area where LDPE pipes are used is in water supply systems, as they ensure effective and safe transport of the liquid. Their resistance to corrosion and chemical agents ensures that the water reaches its destination in ideal conditions. Additionally, due to their high chemical resistance, these pipes are widely used in industrial applications that require the transport of liquids with aggressive chemical substances.

LDPE provides exceptional dielectric properties. This material is made with recovered material and non-toxic resins, which gives it great resistance to corrosion and most chemical agents. Moreover, its smooth inner surface minimizes friction losses and prevents the accumulation of sediment, algae, or scaling. The inner walls of these pipes are very smooth, ensuring the diameter remains constant, optimizing water flow throughout their lifespan. It also facilitates the creation of more curved installation designs and offers greater resistance to water hammer compared to rigid material pipes. Its light weight and easy handling make it ideal for installations in hard-to-access locations. The variety of fittings and sizes, along with reliable welds, make this product a standout solution in irrigation projects.

LDPE low-density polyethylene pipes are a practical, efficient, and environmentally friendly alternative for multiple applications. Their adaptability, chemical resistance, flexibility, and ease of installation position them as key components in irrigation systems, water supply, and industrial sectors. Moreover, with initiatives like our AGRICAMP and VICAMP ranges, it is possible to achieve high performance while maintaining an ecological focus. AGRICAMP products are made from the recycled plastic of VICAMP pipes.
