Repolen PPR Multilayer Pipe

PPR REPOLEN pipes and fittings are available in single-layer and multi-layer versions, with the latter offering greater strength thanks to a fiberglass layer. Multi-layer pipes have higher structural rigidity, reduce expansion, and minimize the need for supports during installation. They are ideal for a variety of applications such as potable water systems, heating, air conditioning, and the transport of chemical products. Their durability reaches up to 50 years, with high resistance to temperature, pressure, and chemical agents. Additionally, their easy installation, light weight, and minimal noise transmission make them highly competitive in the market.

Our REPOLEN PPR pipes and fittings are classified into two types: single-layer and multilayer. Single-layer pipes consist of a single layer of material, while multilayer pipes are made of more than one material. The main difference between a single-layer pipe and a multilayer pipe is that the latter has an intermediate layer of fiberglass. The color of the visible layer of the pipe and the four lines on its surface indicate the pipe’s intended use. In the case of multilayer PPR pipes, we see green pipes with dark green lines, green pipes with white lines, blue pipes with green lines and green interiors, and black pipes with green interiors, each showing the applications of the pipes.

Multilayer pipes offer greater structural rigidity thanks to the fiberglass layer inside. This results in higher pressure resistance at high temperatures. The increased tensile strength reduces pipe expansion, requiring fewer supports and loops during installation. In other words, the fiberglass layer not only improves performance under high temperatures but also saves space in installation and reduces material costs. We also manufacture multilayer PPR pipes and multilayer PPR-CT pipes. Using pipes made of PPR-CT minimizes the potential effects of expansion and contraction due to temperature changes throughout the pipe’s lifespan. They offer excellent mechanical and chemical resistance. PPR-CT provides greater stability and resistance than PPR, reducing degradation and increasing the durability of the installation.

Polypropylene pipes are odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic, making them suitable for potable water supply. Multilayer pipes are ideal for cold water supply systems (AFS), hot water supply systems (ACS), water supply for food processing, chemical product transportation, potable water, geothermal systems, installations sensitive to disinfection against Legionella (hospitals, schools, institutional buildings, hotels, sports facilities, etc.), compressed air systems, and heating and cooling systems (HVAC). Due to their temperature resistance, high-pressure tolerance, and low heat loss, REPOLEN PPR pipes and fittings are the ideal choice for both residential and industrial projects. Additionally, they have a lifespan of 50 years in compliance with UNE EN ISO 15874. All of this, combined with minimal maintenance requirements, makes this product an extremely efficient and cost-effective option.

Fast installation, a wide range of accessories and pipe diameters with seamless, reliable welds position our multilayer pipes very competitively in the market. The ease of handling and light weight of the pipes make them an excellent option for installations with difficult access. The inner walls, with minimal roughness, prevent the buildup of algae, incrustations, or adhesions, keeping the internal pipe diameter consistent. Combined with the virtually frictionless inner walls, pressure loss is significantly reduced, ensuring high flow speeds and a constant flow rate (V=0.50–3.50 m/s).

Multilayer PPR pipes reduce noise transmission compared to metal pipes. They also have high resistance to impact, corrosion, and most chemical agents. At Reboca, we guarantee high-quality products that comply with current standards. These products also adapt to the specific needs of our clients thanks to the variety of diameters (from 20 mm to 500 mm depending on the PPR pipe model) and wall thicknesses in multilayer pipes, as well as a wide range of pipes and fittings, including both socket and butt-weld fittings—in other words, weldable fittings that are inserted into the pipe or welded to the surface. Our product catalog includes the necessary welding tools for these joints, offering construction companies all the materials needed for installation.
