PE40 Pipe

VICAMP PE40 pipes, made from virgin low-density polyethylene, are flexible, lightweight, and chemical-resistant, making them ideal for agricultural and irrigation applications. Their flexibility allows them to adapt to uneven terrain, facilitating installation. They also have low internal roughness, ensuring consistent flow and preventing sediment buildup. They are easy to transport and freeze-resistant. They are also a sustainable choice, with recyclable products in the VICAMP range and recycled plastic in the AGRICAMP range.

PE40 VICAMP pipes are made from virgin low-density polyethylene. They are an ideal solution for a wide range of applications, especially in the agricultural and irrigation sector. Our VICAMP range is certified for product compliance. This is the main reason for using virgin raw materials. Without neglecting our environmental commitment, we also produce pipes with recovered materials under our AGRICAMP range. Polyethylene is a polymer made up of ethylene monomers that, depending on the polymerization process used, are arranged in more or less cross-linked chains of different lengths. These lengths and cross-linking are what give the material its specific properties. As polymer chains cool, they can organize into crystalline structures (crystallization) or retain a tangled, disordered “coil” structure (amorphous structure). The ratio of these structures determines the material’s density. In the case of PE40, a low-density material is obtained, characterized by being softer and more flexible compared to other types of polyethylene. This allows them to bend and better adapt to irregular terrain. Their flexibility not only facilitates installation by allowing tighter curves, but also helps them better withstand crushing without collapsing. Additionally, they are easier to transport as they are lighter in weight.

These pipes are highly recommended for use in agricultural and irrigation installations. They are highly resistant to both acids and alkalis, and also effective against chemical products, making them ideal for these sectors. They feature a low wave propagation speed, which is crucial for this type of system. High-density pipes are commonly used as primary conduits in irrigation systems, while secondary pipes, generally made from lower density materials, cross cultivated fields and better adapt to the terrain’s topography. Low-density polyethylene pipes are responsible for transporting water from the source to the sprinkler or feeding the emitters and drip lines.

Low-density pipes have remarkable flexibility, allowing them to easily adapt to the contours of the land. This property enables installations with tighter curves, facilitating assembly even in difficult terrain. Moreover, their flexibility makes them more resistant to crushing, as they can deform without breaking. Compared to rigid material pipes, PE40 pipes show greater resistance to water hammer, reducing the risk of damage and extending the system’s lifespan. The light weight of these pipes makes their transport and handling easier, reducing logistical costs and speeding up installation. This benefit is especially useful in large projects or areas with difficult access.

VICAMP pipes are also very useful in gardening and landscaping projects. PE40 pipes are ideal for installing irrigation systems that discreetly integrate into the landscape design. Their corrosion resistance and chemical inertia ensure that the water reaches its destination in optimal conditions. They offer excellent dielectric properties and act as an effective barrier against gases, vapors, and moisture. PE40 is manufactured from 100% non-toxic virgin resins. Likewise, the low surface roughness of their inner walls minimizes friction losses and prevents the accumulation of sediments, algae, or scale. The inner walls of these pipes are extremely smooth, ensuring that the internal diameter remains consistent over time, guaranteeing optimal flow for years. The pipes’ easy handling and low weight represent a great advantage for use in installations with limited accessibility. They also enable faster assembly, facilitating installation. The wide range of accessories and pipe diameters, variety of solutions, and reliable welding options make this a standout product for irrigation installations.

Low-density polyethylene PE40 pipes are a versatile, efficient, and sustainable option for a wide range of applications. Their flexibility, chemical resistance, and ease of installation make them an essential component in irrigation systems, water supply, and industrial applications. Moreover, with solutions like our VICAMP range and our AGRICAMP range, it is possible to combine high performance with a sustainable approach. VICAMP products are recyclable, and AGRICAMP products are made using recovered plastic from VICAMP pipes.
